Owen - 2 Months

Sweet baby Owen. Your two month birthday landed you with a ride in the PANDA Care Ambulance to Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Less than a week before, you came down with a cold, which I assumed was the same one that kept Sydney home from school for a couple days. We took you to see your pediatrician, who did an RSV test. Two days later we went back for your 2 month well-child visit & got the results that you were RSV positive. You were having trouble breathing. Your oxygen saturation was low & Dr. Campbell asked us to come back the next day to have it checked again. That morning I started dinner in the Croc-pot and daddy & I discussed what  to dress you in since we needed a free toe to check your oxygen sats again. We assumed we'd be right home that afternoon. Little did we know you'd be in just a diaper with an oxygen mask on you (which made you scream your little head off) and we wouldn't be coming home that day. Aunt Stacey, Aunt Kathy & Nana worked out getting Sydney to & from everywhere she needed to be. She made it to Abby's birthday party and got to have a sleepover with The Linke's & The Jefferis. I could tell she was worried about you, but she was brave! When we all returned home she couldn't wait to hold you! You're still struggling with the RSV, but you're on the upswing, for sure. What a big scare!

In lighter news...You're such a happy little boy, even with being sick! You're sleeping well at night in 5-7 hour blocks! You enjoy playing on your bug play mat and batting at the dangling toys. You love it when daddy makes silly sounds and plays with your lips - that always gets a smile out of you! You're also a big fan of your sister talking to you. You will lay there and stare directly at her for quite awhile. Mr. Monkey is still your best friend - Wrap you up in your monkey blanket from the Keatings, shove Mr. Monkey in your mouth & you're one happy boy! 

Speaking of monkeys, you are one chunky monkey! I can not believe how big you are! At 2 months old you are wearing 3-6 month clothing and even some of those clothes are getting tight!

At 2 weeks you dropped to 8lbs. 15oz.

A 2 months you weigh 13lbs. 1 oz!

At 2 weeks you were 1' 10.5" inches tall

At 2 months you are 2" tall!

At 2 weeks your head circumference was 14.5"

At 2 months your head circumference is 15.75" - little peanut head!
