I'm not allowed to watch Sydney dance, as she gets terribly embarrassed. But I did snap this ONE picture of her warming up with her awesome teacher, Kayla!
I, of course, sneak glances when I can and am not sure why Syd is so self-conscious. She's awesome out there!

SisterPants
Sydney & I had a little Mommy & Me morning yesterday and stopped at a cute little cafe in Oregon City to get treats - Aunt Stacey Cookies!
Outside...Airplane...Water...Girls
Every single morning, without fail, Owen wants to go outside!
He either requests to see airplanes, play with the girls, water the plants or just water the patio.

You see, Mama, I know it's not even 7am, but a boy has needs...

I have 2 water guns & a Pooh Airplane. What else does a boy need?

Pour water on the step and take a seat in it, perfect!

Hmm. I've got a bucket full of water, but how do I get it in my gun or my watering can.

Circle of Friends Farm CSA
Tim had a fantastic idea to join a CSA this year so the kids could learn more about where our food comes from and experience a working farm. At first it sounded like more work than it was worth to drive out to the farm every week, for 26 weeks, to get our food. But I'm so glad we're doing it! I guess I forget that we do live pretty far out making a "drive to the farm" only take 15 minutes. Ha!
The kids had such a great time exploring the farm! They toured the green house to see what was getting ready to be planted in the fields next, hung out with the chickens (at least 50!) and the goat whose name is escaping me now.
I'm really glad we brought Miss Maddy with us because Sydney was a little scared of the chickens, but Maddy wasn't at all. Sydney would have headed right back to the car if Maddy hadn't been there to make her see the inside of the coop and walk around the pasture.

Tim has been working hard in the yard!
Here is what we started with two and a half years ago...
...and here is where we are now, thanks to all of Tim's hard work!
We've added a patio, fully fenced side yard on both sides, a shed, grass, trees, plants, etc... Once the sun comes out for longer than two days I'll start getting the patio furniture & fire pit out.
Then we'll be fully ready for the summer! Of course there are still more projects that we want to work on, but I'm happy with where we are right now!
Update: While the back yard has been the biggest transformation, we've also been working hard on the front of the house. Tim just added new bark to the front flower beds this weekend.
