Family Time

August has started out as month full of family visits. We're so blessed with a huge family of great people.

On Saturday we enjoyed at fun BBQ at Auntie Theresa's house down on the Tualatin River with my cousin and her family in town from Chicago & my aunt from Huntington Beach.
It was so nice to see my aunt Barbara, Janelle & her husband Krishna, along with their kiddos Dhara, Ram & Shanti. Sydney and Dhara were fast friends and all the kids had a lot of fun swinging on the hammock, hitting golf balls & making smores.

I attempted to make a chocolate cream cheese tunnel cake in my new Bundt pan for dessert. I couldn't quite nail it. It tasted delicious, but didn't look very appealing. Maybe next time...

Sunday morning we went to church and came right home so Tim could start on his Pioneer Woman Baked Beans for a family BBQ over at Auntie Gail & Uncle Jerry's house that afternoon with cousins, aunts & uncles in town from Nashville & Manhattan. The kids all had a great time playing outside in the bouncy house & splashing in the pool. The next morning we were all off to the family reunion at Beverly Beach State Park. There had to have been at least 50 of us camping, beach housing or Chaleting it. Our days were spent hanging around the campfire, eating yummy food, drinking home brew thanks to talented cousins (for those of us who could drink...), walking down to the beach to build sand castles, swimming in the ocean if you were brave enough (or named Brad or Eric), throwing the football around, or sitting in the sand.

We even joined Stacey, Alex & the kiddos on a trip to the Newport Aquarium one afternoon. It was a super fun couple of days to just hang out, relax & talk to everyone I haven't seen since our wedding last year. More pictures to come!
I love my family!
