Day One: Up at 4:30AM to catch our flight to Long Beach. We made it out of the house on time & arrived at our gate with about 5 minutes to spare, which gave Tim time to run across the concourse and grab muffins and juice for breakfast. After an hour wait on the plane we were de-iced and flying away from the snow to sunny OC. Sydney and Owen both did great on the flight. Owen ate & slept. Sydney gazed out the window for brief moments and was right back to playing her DS. After picking up our rental car we went straight to In N Out for lunch - Yum! Later that day we were able to see all our friends & some family during a BBQ at Dave's house. Grandpa Bud. Uncle Dave. Tommy, Maureen & baby Evelyn. Kelley, Sarah & baby Colin. Jeremy, Carrie and their son's Brady & Casey. Sandi, Dina, Shane, Davey & Timon. It was so nice to have everyone in one place so we didn't have to rush around trying to visit everyone.
Day Two: We all slept in, with the exception of Owen waking to eat, and made it to Disneyland by 9:30AM. We spent a FULL day at Disneyland riding every ride we could! The weather cooperated all the way until later in the evening when it started to rain on us. Oh well. We're from Oregon. We can handle the rain. The lines got really short when the rain started falling and we were able to jump on quite a few rides with only a 5-10 minute wait. Sydney was very lucky on this Disneyland trip thanks to the baby swap trick! She was able to ride all the great rides like Matterhorn, Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, etc... twice in a row! Even with feeling sick all day, Sydney was a trooper and thoroughly enjoyed every minute! Owen slept in his stroller about 80% of our 12 hour day. He did go on It's a Small World & the Finding Nemo Submarine. He screamed through the first ride and slept through the second!
